WHAT IS SHEPROP?
We are a thriving community of cosplayers, makers and artists!
SheProp is a safe space and supportive community for cosplayers and artists that identify with a marginalized gender, including women, two-spirit, and the trans umbrella.
In the SheProp Community space, members can post work-in-progress images, ask questions, and fully engage with a robust maker community without fear of receiving unsolicited “advice” and degrading commentary, a common issue within most other online maker spaces.
Topics surrounding sensitive social commentary are commonly discussed within the community, with an emphasis on education, understanding and empathy.
OUR MISSION
SheProp strives to bring the collective of unique knowledge of building processes and techniques to female, non-binary and transgender cosplayers of all skill levels, to encourage our members to create, learn and inspire each other, as well as be positive role models themselves within the maker community. Our daily goal is to instill confidence within every member through our community!
OUR FOUNDER
Beverly Downen of Downen Creative Studios founded SheProp in 2018 after seeing a need for supportive groups for female and other gender underrepresented cosplayers and makers.
